I like the location, rate and the breakfast.
Big roomsize and modern style..
The staff was excellent. The room was ready when we arrived early. The breakfast was delicious and convenient. The hotel was prepared to hold our luggage after check-out as we got our final sight seeing done.
The rooms are on the smaller side, even by European standards. There was no place to put the suitcase or to place our non-hanging clothes (so that we could put the suitcase away). We had to leave the suitcase on the floor and jump over it. This was not too difficult for a weekend, just a little odd given the high performance of the hotel in other areas. This particular hotel is a quiet stree, about 2 km from the center of town. This will be a drawback in Fall or Winter, unless one has a pass for the public transportation.
Located in a pleasant part of the city just out of the centre. The tram stop is only a few minutes away and the number 19 tram will take you downtown to the major attractions. A 15 minute walk will also get you there. The hotel was clean and well presented with good reception, lounge and bar areas near the entrance. The rooms are clean and modern.Very good breakfast provided each morning.
Rooms are small and lack some amenities eg. Coffee and tea making,a decent size wardrobe, safe. We had to be moved from our ground floor room because a party was going on (with very loud music) in the dining room in the basement. Mixed performance from staff.
Of a number of hotels we stayed at during our two week trip around Norway - Saga Hotel was probably our favourite. It just functions well and gets the basics right. Good location in an upmarket part of Oslo with a pleasant 15 min walk into the city (via the Royal Palace gardens). Very clean rooms and communal areas. Nice contemporary design as well. Breakfast good. Staff were all excellent and very friendly and also helped us choose two very good local restaurants. Highly recommended.
Very little to dislike. Possibly tea & coffee in the room would be nice and a toaster at breakfast - but both of these omissions were par for the course around Norway.
Almost nothing to complain on the service and nice breakfast. Receptions are helpful and we liked the comfortable bed. And parking is easy and convient. The palace and city hall are in walkable distance.
The price is bit higher. But it is a expensive city as well ;)
Quiet location. Great decor. Super comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.
Would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee in our room
Modern rooms with all amneities, friendly and helpfull staff and fantastic breakfast!
Somewhat off the city center.
Design. Clean. Calm and nice neighbourhood.
Good Breakfast but in a cellar. No airco in the room. Bed and pillows too soft. Small bathroom.
Good design hotel, clean and comfortable: this is what really counts! Excellent breakfast. Nothing to complain to be honest, except that it in not in Oslo center, but it is 6 tram stops from the center (=15-20 minutes maximum). This "inconvenience" is offset by very competitive price for being the center of Oslo!
Very nice atmosphere, friendly and modern design at the same time, clean, good breakfast, central but quiet location as well as good sound proof windows, a bit of the most busy streets. I have already recommended the hotel to some friends.
Clean, nice decor, in quiet residential neighborhood. Close to public transportation and Vigeland sculpture park, though a bit far from most other sights in Oslo. Breakfast selection was decent.
Sparsely staffed - front desk staff is also the bartender, so at night we had to wait for the person to finish serving drinks to check in, and no one answered the phone when we called to request extra towels (they only provided one set for two people). Some staff less friendly than others. Breakfast hours somewhat limited; we were not able to make it 2 out of 3 days due to our travel schedule. Also our room had a low sloped ceiling, felt a little cramped.
Constant wi-fi connection
No desk light in room Could not find temperature control - got cold
Fantastic hotel at a reasonable price. Clean and quite enough, not far from the center of the city. The staff is nice and breakfast is excellent. I would like to stay there again.
Quiet location Very clean & beautifully decorated Close to city transportation Close to shopping
The staff were very helpful, my room was spacious, and the hotel is located in an attractive part of the city. Very happy with my stay at the Saga Hotel.
